Loss Draft Associate Steamboat Group – 3.4 West Seneca, NY Job Details Full-time $16 an hour 19 hours ago Benefits Tuition reimbursement Paid time off 401(k) matching Qualifications Basic math High school diploma or GED Accounting Lending 1 year Entry level Full Job Description This is a hybrid position Job Summary The Loss Draft Associate monitors the claim and repair process for losses suffered by borrowers and accurately documents all activity pertaining to the claim; provides timely processing of claim funds and works with borrowers and various third-party vendors to ensure property is returned to original condition. Duties and Responsibilities Answer inbound phone calls from borrowers regarding an existing or new Loss Draft case. Collect and evaluate required documentation in order to monitor repairs of damaged homes and/or property. Order property inspections to ensure repairs are being completed correctly and timely. Accurately document all activity throughout the process in a working file, department spreadsheet and servicing database. Maintain contact with the borrower throughout the repairs to ensure inspections are ordered in a timely manner. Demonstrate patience, empathy and professionalism when interacting with borrowers and third-party vendors via phone, email or letters. Perform all tasks in compliance with applicable regulatory standards, guidelines, and rules established by the company, investors, state and federal regulatory authorities, and local ordinances. Respond to consumer calls, written correspondence, and emails in accordance with investor guidelines. Share information and make recommendations to improve overall department performance and service levels, customer service initiatives, etc. Provide accurate and complete information to resolve issues and follow up on any outstanding issues or commitments promptly and when promised. Communicate effectively with individuals/teams to ensure high quality and timely response and resolution to customers’ requests. Stay current on changes in industry regulations. Maintain appropriate, professional working relationships with clients and other employees. Consistently meet established productivity, schedule adherence, and quality standards Other related duties as assigned. Qualifications High school diploma or GED is required along with one year of mortgage lending and/or insurance experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience; basic math / accounting skills are required; this position may require considerable training to become proficient.
