Hiring:
Experienced Land Agent BOP Acquisition is seeking an experienced Land Agent to join our team. Applicants must be local to Southwestern PA and able to pass both a drug screening and background check. This is a W-2 position offering competitive pay (based on experience and education) and benefits.
Position Overview:
The Land Agent will coordinate and conduct land-related activities necessary to identify and acquire leasehold in target areas. This role also involves collaborating with title staff and other departments to ensure smooth leasehold operations.
Responsibilities:
Negotiate with mineral owners to acquire oil and gas leases, mineral purchases, or curative documents. Act as a liaison between oil and gas companies and property owners. Draft and negotiate contracts with strong interpersonal and business skills. Establish and maintain contact with multiple landowners in a focus area. Prepare and negotiate appropriate contracts and agreements to facilitate leasing efforts. Obtain leases, extensions, and renewals for expiring agreements. Compile final lease purchase reports and lease packets. Research and gather title documentation to confirm mineral ownership. Interpret legal descriptions and plat property boundaries as needed. Organize and present legal documents in a clear and structured manner. Apply knowledge of property law, estates, trusts, and contract law.
Qualifications:
Proven experience in Pennsylvania land negotiations. Strong negotiation skills and ability to build trust quickly. Self-motivated and ambitious , with the ability to work independently. Attention to detail and ability to prioritize tasks effectively. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Proficiency in computer programs (MS Windows, Word, Excel). Ability to work under pressure and collaborate in high-stress situations. Team player with a problem-solving mindset. Willingness to take on special projects as assigned.
