The training will be very technical & a very good understanding of accounting is critical for success in this job. Responsibilities Maintains various specialized accounting records Compiles and analyses of large amounts of financial data Ability to read and interpret statutes and regulations Knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) & Governmental Accounting Standards Board (GASB) Pronouncements Understanding of Genal Ledgers, Trail Balances, and GAAP Financial Statements Knowledge of Microsoft (ex. Excel, Word, Access, etc.)
