Job Description

  • Only qualified Budget/Policy Analyst candidates located near Tallahassee, FL will be considered, as the position requires onsite presence
  • Required Education:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting
Preferred Certification:
  • Must have State of Florida CPA or BS in Accounting
Required Skills, Experience, Knowledge and Abilities:
  • Ability to speak and understand English
  • Experience with financial & programmatic compliance audits
  • Ability to compile and analyze large amounts of financial data
  • Ability to read and interpret statutes and regulations
  • Knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP)
  • Knowledge of Governmental Accounting Standards Board Pronouncements (GASB)
  • Understanding of Trail Balances and CAAP Financial Statements
  • Experience using general ledger systems (QuickBooks, PeachTree, CYMA, FLAIR, etc.)
  • Proficient using Microsoft Excel, Word and Access
  • Must have 10+ years of working with
FASB/GASB
  • Must have 10+ years of financial statements preparation
  • Ability to create, update and manage desk procedures
  • Must have financial & programmatic compliance audits experience
    Client is looking for Budget/Policy Analyst. The candidate will be doing professional accounting, budgeting & financial reporting. The training will be very technical & a very good understanding of accounting is critical for success in this job
