Job Description

Required Education:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting
Preferred Certification:
- Must have State of Florida CPA or BS in Accounting
Required Skills, Experience, Knowledge and Abilities:
- Ability to speak and understand English
- Experience with financial & programmatic compliance audits
- Ability to compile and analyze large amounts of financial data
- Ability to read and interpret statutes and regulations
- Knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP)
- Knowledge of Governmental Accounting Standards Board Pronouncements (GASB)
- Understanding of Trail Balances and CAAP Financial Statements
- Experience using general ledger systems (QuickBooks, PeachTree, CYMA, FLAIR, etc.)
- Proficient using Microsoft Excel, Word and Access
- Must have 10+ years of working with
FASB/GASB
- Must have 10+ years of financial statements preparation
- Ability to create, update and manage desk procedures
- Must have financial & programmatic compliance audits experience
Client is looking for Budget/Policy Analyst. The candidate will be doing professional accounting, budgeting & financial reporting. The training will be very technical & a very good understanding of accounting is critical for success in this job
