Position Summary:

Florida Atlantic University is seeking a Budget Coordinator•Boca Raton, FL.

Summary of Responsibilities:

Assist with preparation of the Graduate College’s operating budget which includes providing the monthly budget to actuals reports to leadership for review as well as assisting with any special projects. Initiate and process journal entries, budget amendments, reconciliations and other financial transactions including but not limited to travel, leases, food orders, supplier set up and quote/purchase requisition/order processes and telecom/phone. Review all expenditures to ensure adequate funds and appropriate use of funds and an appropriate audit trail. Create and review pcard expense reports, purchase requisitions, purchase orders in Workday and submit invoices for payment to accounts payable and reconcile all pcard transactions monthly. Assist with formulating, interpreting, implementing fiscal policies and procedures for the College as well as providing recommendations to leadership as deemed appropriate. Serve as point of contract for suppliers and other vendors (both internal and external). Use Workday for all financial and HR Partner functions. Serve as HR Partner in Workday to ensure the department is in compliance with appropriate regulations and polices. Prepare, manage, and maintain personnel contracts and records for faculty, staff, temporary OPS student and non-student employees in Workday. This includes but is not limited to create position, job requisitions, onboarding, timekeeping, and compensation changes processes for employees. Review and resolve any errors in the human resource and timekeeping processes with Central departmental contacts. Serve as a liaison to numerous departments including, Human Resources, Payroll, Procurement, Controller’s Office, and staff at various departments. Process, verify, reconcile tuition and health insurance waivers and all health charges in Banner for Graduate Teaching Assistants (GTAs) and Graduate Research Assistant (GRAs) and other students. Liaison with Central Tuition and Billing Services, Controller’s Office and Office of Financial Aid concerning matters related to students’ accounts. Maintain various Graduate College fellowships, scholarships, and awards as well as provide direct support to internal and external stakeholders. Other ad hoc job-related duties and projects assigned. Minimum Qualifications:

Master’s degree from an accredited institution in an appropriate area of specialization; or a bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution in an appropriate area of specialization and two years of appropriate experience required.
