Jun 16, 2025 The Georgia Department of Behavioral Health and Developmental Disabilities (DBHDD) is currently seeking candidates for the position of Budget Supervisor in the Business Office at Georgia Regional Hospital – Atlanta, located in Decatur, GA.

L Job Summary:
Supervises, guides, and/or instructs the work assignments of subordinate staff. Oversees, develops, prepares, analyzes and/or revises large or complex budget and supporting schedules for assigned organizations or program areas. Performs review and analysis of budget program and policy issues, analyzes financial trends or proposed legislation and recommends appropriate courses of action to management.
Specific Function Areas :
Budget – Operations & Capital Budgets Accounting – A/P, Invoices, Travel reimbursement, P-cards, etc. Budget vs. Actual comparisons Forecasting of Hospital expenditures.
Primary Responsibilities :
1. Develop, monitor and maintain capital and operating budgets for the regional hospital and for community programs operated by the hospital 2. Develop annual operating budgets and submit for review and approval 3. Perform financial forecasting and projections and analyze trends 4. Review and prepare budget and financial reports. Monitor expenditures 5. Prepare and analyze operational statistics, reports, or other data 6. Coordinate assigned functions with service delivery functions to support the hospital’s mission 7. Provide technical assistance to others on administrative and budget issues. May participate as a member of internal and external committees and task forces to assess policies, procedures and programs 8. Plan and organize the unit’s work to meet the organization’s goals and objectives. Direct and review work assignments 9. Direct and manage staff, define performance expectations and objectives, manage performance and address performance issues, recommend and implement disciplinary action, etc. 10. Associate degree in accounting, business/public administration, or finance from an accredited college or university and four (4) years of fiscal analysis job-related experience; or two (2) years of experience at the lower level Budget Analyst 2 (FIP011) or equivalent position.
