Thorough knowledge of the principles, methods and practices of budgeting and accounting.
Considerable knowledge of modern business management practices and accounting systems
Considerable knowledge in projection, planning and preparation of budgeting concepts.
Knowledge of computer technology including the use of accounting software, word processing
and spreadsheets. Knowledge of the Florida Financial Program Cost Accounting and Reporting
Manual. Ability to communicate orally and in writing. Ability to plan, organize and establish
priorities related to assignment. Ability to carry out job responsibilities and handle sensitive
information in a confidential manner. Ability to work independently and make decisions with
minimum supervision. Ability to handle multiple tasks in a professional and courteous manner.
Ability to work cooperatively with others.
Job Summary:
To assist in projection, planning, preparation and daily operations of District Budgets, managing
the school district’s monetary resources efficiently and effectively, protecting district assets, and
providing outstanding customer service on budget related actions and activities.
Qualifications:
1. Bachelor of Science Degree in Accounting, Budget or Business
2. Three (3) years accounting experience, preferably governmental
3. Satisfactory criminal background check and drug screening
