•Remote based, requires travel in the Eastern USregion•Must have at least 8 years of experience as a healthcareCFOThe Divisional CFO is responsible for the overall fiscalmanagement of the facilities within the division, providing thefinancial and operational decision-making necessary for achievingthe Division’s strategic, financial, and operational goals. Therole involves analyzing, interpreting, and reporting financialinformation, supporting strategic planning and budgeting,evaluating alternative courses of action, and ensuring high-levelrevenue cycle operations.
Roles and Responsibilities:
ESSENTIALFUNCTIONS
Ensure timely and accurate completion of monthly financialstatements for the Division. Visit assigned facilities regularly to review financialoperations and provide feedback and guidance to facility leadershipand the Division President. Provide requested financial information related to theDivision’s operations to the Division President and corporatestaff. Oversee the preparation of monthly forecasts, ensuring theiraccuracy and validity. Assist in preparing corporate and divisional reports, includingthe Monthly Operating Report and forecasts, in a timelymanner. Offer financial expertise in planning new services, includingthe preparation of pro-formas. Work with facilities to ensure all accounting policies andinternal controls are in place to facilitate a clean audit with nomaterial adjustments or deficiencies. Participate in Monthly Operating Reviews with Summit SeniorManagement, providing explanations and insights for eachfacility. Collaborate with the Director of the CBO to manage RevenueCycle operations, ensuring timely collection of accounts receivableand minimizing uncompensated care. Ensure Front End Revenue Cycle processes are in place,including VOBs, Financial Counseling, and other financialdocumentation. Maintain knowledge of federal, state, and managed carereimbursement methodologies to ensure accurate payments andrecording of revenue deductions, and facilitate the preparation ofcost reports. Monitor supply costs to ensure compliance with Group Purchasingcontracts and budget targets. Prepare annual operating budgets and participate in strategicplanning, analyzing variances and assisting in implementingnecessary changes to meet budget goals. Provide financial leadership and guidance to the Division VicePresident and facility CEOs. Review managed care contracting and business developmentactivities to maximize net revenue, including evaluating in-networkfeasibility and negotiating rate increases. Stay informed on healthcare industry trends and ensure facilitycompliance and preparedness. Assist in staffing and productivity goal achievement forfacilities.
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE/SKILL REQUIREMENTS
Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or business withsignificant financial focus; Master’s degree or CPA preferred. At least 8 years of progressive CFO experience in healthcarerequired. Behavioral healthcare experience and experience withproprietary healthcare systems highly preferred. Strong financial analysis, technical accounting, and financeskills. Proficiency with IT and software such as Excel andWord.
LICENSES/DESIGNATIONS/CERTIFICATIONS
CPA preferred.
SUPERVISORYREQUIREMENTS
