Job Description
Our client, a regional bank, is seeking a Chief Accounting Officer to oversee all accounting and FP&A functions. This role reports directly to the CFO and plays a key role in financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, regulatory compliance, and team leadership.
Responsibilities:
Lead all accounting operations, including general ledger, month-end close, and financial reporting Manage budgeting and forecasting processes across all business units Ensure compliance with GAAP, regulatory standards, and internal controls Oversee the preparation of financial statements, call reports, and other regulatory filings Lead the FP&A team in developing financial models and business performance analysis Coordinate audits with external auditors and regulatory agencies Manage and develop accounting and finance staff
Requirements:
CPA required Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field 7+ years of progressive experience in accounting and finance Prior experience in the banking or financial services industry Strong understanding of bank regulatory reporting and compliance requirements Experience leading accounting and FP&A teams Seniority level Executive Employment type Full-time Job function Accounting/Auditing
