CFO – Chief Financial Officer Position Available In Okeechobee, Florida

Description We are looking for an experienced Chief Financial Officer (CFO) to oversee financial operations for a variety of entities, including turf, sod, trucking, cattle, and metals businesses. This long-term contract position requires an individual who can establish and manage a holding company structure, ensuring smooth financial integration and compliance across all entities. The ideal candidate will bring expertise in financial management, process documentation, and intercompany accounting.

Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement a holding company structure to consolidate multiple business entities.
• Oversee month-end close processes, including reconciliations and financial reporting.
• Manage accounts payable (AP) and accounts receivable (AR) functions effectively.
• Utilize QuickBooks to maintain accurate financial records and streamline accounting operations.
• Create and document standard operating procedures (SOPs) for financial processes.
• Monitor and manage intercompany transactions and accounts to ensure accuracy.
• Conduct cash flow analysis and capital management to optimize financial performance.
• Establish and enforce access policies for financial systems and data.
• Support budgeting and auditing processes to ensure compliance with financial standards.
• Collaborate with leadership to provide strategic financial insights and recommendations. Requirements
• Minimum of 1 year of experience in financial management or a related role.
• Proficiency with QuickBooks and other accounting software systems.
• Strong understanding of intercompany accounting and transaction management.
• Proven ability to manage month-end close processes and financial reconciliations.
• Experience creating and documenting financial processes and SOPs.
• Knowledge of accounts payable (AP) and accounts receivable (AR) operations.
• Familiarity with cash flow analysis, budgeting, and capital management.
• Excellent organizational and communication skills to work across multiple entities.
