CFO/COO Polk County, Florida, construction company seeks candidates for the position COO/CFO. This salary position will serve as an integral member of the senior management team. The position requires a unique set of skills, combining operational focus and financial acumen. This person will provide the leadership, management and vision necessary to ensure that the company has the proper operational controls, administrative and reporting procedures and people systems in place to effectively maintain and grow the organization, while contributing useful financial insights to help make better decisions about formulating and executing financial strategy. Must possess minimum 5 years of supervisory experience and business management. BS Degree in accounting, finance, or related discipline required. Master’s Degree preferred. Strong computer skills essential. This is an on-site job and candidates must live within reasonable commuting distance to the headquarters. Some travel required. This is not a desk job. The position requires an operational mindset with the ability and willingness to visit job sites and relate to on-the-ground challenges. We need a COO who can also serve as a CFO, developing, monitoring, and evaluating overall corporate financial strategy. Leadership, effective communication, and teamwork cannot be overstated as essential critical skills, as well as a work ethic of staying until the job is accomplished.
