Echo Technologies is a fast-growing, multi-division technology company providing infrastructure, ISP, managed services, and low-voltage construction solutions across the Southeast. With projects spanning public sector contracts, fiber deployments, and service-based recurring revenue, we operate at the intersection of technology, construction, and customer service. We are looking for a Controller to bring clarity, accountability, and forward-looking visibility to our financial operations. This is a leadership role reporting directly to ownership, with dotted-line support to operations and HR functions. Key Responsibilities Lead all day-to-day accounting operations, including AP, AR, GL, payroll, and job costing Produce timely, accurate monthly financials across multiple business units and entities Manage cash flow forecasting and budget-to-actual reporting Oversee customer invoicing and collections processes, ensuring alignment with contractual terms Implement and maintain internal controls and financial procedures Coordinate year-end activities with CPA and tax advisors Collaborate with operational leaders to analyze project profitability, labor costs, and capital investments Support HR functions, including payroll processing, benefits administration, and compliance Assist with organizational design, compensation plans, and employee onboarding procedures Oversee and coach accounting staff and third-party vendors Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance required; CPA preferred but not mandatory 5+ years of progressive experience in a Controller or Senior Accountant role, preferably in construction, telecom, or service-based businesses Proficiency with QuickBooks and Excel; experience with multi-entity accounting required Working knowledge of payroll systems and HR compliance Strong understanding of WIP, project accounting, and margin analysis Ability to design and implement systems that scale with growth Clear communicator with a high degree of ownership and follow-through What You Bring A roll-up-your-sleeves approach to leadership The ability to drive accountability and close the loop on open items A business-minded perspective—your reports help drive decisions A firm grasp of both the financials and the people behind the numbers
