ResponsibilitiesKey Responsibilitiesand Essential Functions:
Analyze daily operating results to ensure that revenues,expenses, and labor are within budgeted objectives; advisedepartment heads and administration of needed changes andimprovements in a timely manner. Establish and maintain sound financial controls and recordkeeping; approve financial expenditures up to the level establishedby the HH Health System. Keep abreast of government regulatory requirements and therapidly changing reimbursement environment to develop and implementchanges to policies and procedures as needed. Ensure that the financial operations of the facility arecarried out in an ethical, responsible manner. Establish and monitor the annual operating budget according tosound budgeting principles. Interface with Human Resources andother appropriate departments in the preparation of departmentalproductivity standards. Evaluate the facility’s overall financial position and prepareperiodic financial and operating reports. Provide consistent andaccurate financial, accounting, and reporting processes throughoutthe facility. Prepare financial forecasts and monitor performance versusbudget; consolidate results, prepare rolling 90-day forecasts, anddevelop and implement cash management controls. Coordinate with other senior members of the leadership team inthe development of major strategic and financial plans, includingcapital expenditure programs.
QualificationsMinimum Knowledge,Skills and Experience required:
Education:
Master’s Degree inHospital Administration from an accredited college or university,or equivalent.
Experience:
Five years healthcare executiveexperience (comparable role) or a comparable combination ofeducation and experience.
Additional Skills/Abilities:
Extensive knowledge of hospital operations. Extensive knowledge of the healthcare environment. Knowledge of the health planning process. Ability to direct and motivate employees.
