Chief Financial Officer (CFO) 3.0 3.0 out of 5 stars 401 Holly Hills Avenue, St. Louis, MO 63111 Family Care Health Centers (FCHC) is currently seeking a strategic and experienced Chief Financial Officer (CFO) to oversee and direct all financial activities of the organization. This key leadership role is responsible for safeguarding the financial integrity of the Health Center while contributing to its long-term strategic planning and organizational growth. The CFO serves as a key member of the executive leadership team and works collaboratively with the CEO, Board of Directors, and department leaders to ensure sound fiscal operations and compliance.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead all financial operations, including budgeting, forecasting, accounting, financial reporting, and audits Oversee and manage revenue cycle functions in collaboration with billing and patient accounts staff Develop, implement, and monitor internal financial controls and accounting policies Prepare and present monthly and annual financial statements to the CEO, Finance Committee, and Board of Directors Direct financial planning processes, including organizational, departmental, capital, and grant budgets Advise the CEO and executive team on financial strategies, risk management, and funding opportunities Oversee fiscal compliance across all programs and funding sources, including HRSA and other grantors Manage preparation and submission of UDS, FSR, cost reports, tax filings (990), and annual external audits Supervise and support all finance department personnel, including IT staff and revenue cycle teams Serve as the organizational liaison to financial institutions, vendors, and external partners Oversee information technology functions in partnership with IT leadership and external vendors
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting required; CPA preferred Minimum 3-5 years of financial management or CFO-level experience (FQHC experience strongly preferred) Public accounting, HRSA, or other grant-funded experience highly desirable Strong understanding of nonprofit accounting principles, budgeting, and cash flow management Proven leadership and supervisory experience Excellent written and verbal communication skills Proficiency in financial software systems, data analysis, and report generation Why Work with FCHC? $82.50 – $123.74 per hour Expected hours: 40 per week
