Position Overview:

The CFO will lead all aspects of financial management for the company, including accounting, budgeting, forecasting, reporting, and compliance. This role is a hands-on leadership position and a key partner to ownership and operations, ensuring sound financial strategy and execution across the business.

Key Responsibilities:

• Oversee all accounting operations including general ledger, A/P, A/R, payroll, and financial reporting
• Develop and manage budgets, forecasts, and financial models
• Generate timely, accurate monthly financial statements and operational reports
• Monitor cash flow and working capital, optimize banking and financing relationships
• Ensure compliance with federal and state tax, regulatory, and insurance filings
• Support operational decision-making with financial analysis and insights
• Maintain strong internal controls and accounting best practices
• Assist with systems improvement, cost controls, and strategic planning initiatives

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, or related field (CPA or MBA a plus)
• 5+ years of progressive financial experience, ideally in transportation, logistics, or a related asset-intensive industry
• Strong understanding of GAAP, financial reporting, and cost management
• Experience with ERP/accounting systems
• Ability to communicate clearly and work cross-functionally with leadership, operations, and external partners
• High integrity, detail-oriented, and results-driven
