Job DescriptionJob SummaryThe Assistant CFO (ACFO), a member ofthe Executive Leadership Team, supports the facility ChiefFinancial Officer (CFO) in safeguarding hospital assets andensuring the financial statements, including the books and records,are prepared and maintained in accordance with GAAP. COMPANYDESCRIPTIONFrye Regional Medical Center, located in the beautifulfoothills of North Carolina is a 355-bed acute care hospital,81-bed Behavioral Health facility and more than 70 primary andspecialty care providers. Essential Functions Oversees the operations of the Accounting/Finance Departmentincluding financial statement preparation, maintenance and accuracyof the general ledger, internal audit and SOX control, accountspayable, balance sheet reconciliations, and budget preparation Implements and adheres to regulatory, GAAP, and other changesthat affect the accounting cycle and provides timely and effectiveservice to both internal and external customers Ensures compliance with company financial and accountingpolicies and procedures and also ensures internal controls areeffective in both design and operation, including the routinemonitoring of controls Ensures the monthly close deadlines are timely met, accountreconciliation and supporting documentation is maintained for allactivities, account analysis is performed, prepares variouspackages as requested (e.g., cost report, tax, etc.), and assistsin various projects as requested Assists with the identification and independent assessment offinancial risk, establishment, and monitoring of mitigation plans,and with the communication of financial risk and opportunity to theregional CFO and hospital CEO Assists with the monitoring of the financial performance andthe maintenance of reasonable and appropriate financial plans andforecasts Benefits – Wide range of benefits options!
