- 140kGeneral StatementUnder limitedsupervision, this position is responsible for the development,leadership, supervision, and oversight of the Accounting Departmentand Patient Financial Services.
Reports to the CEO.

Senior Accountant, Accountant, Payroll Coordinator,Procurement & Grants management SpecialistEssentialFunctionsAssists the CEO and provide strategic, operational, andfinancial analysis and advice for the Finance department; leads thedevelopment of organization-wide financial performance policies,processes, and controls; and provides ongoing financial andorganizational leadership to include day-to-day leadership andmanagement to ensure the organization is structured efficiently andmirrors the mission and core values.
Provides oversight fordepartment of Patient Financial Services to include all functionsof the organization’s billing and revenue cycle to maximize cashflow while maintaining an improving internal and external patientrelations.
Responsible for the timely preparation of various grantsmanagement reports, annual Medicare cost report, quarterly & annualMedicaid cost report, and quarterly and annual Uniform Data Systems(UDS) report.
Establishes, implements, and evaluates internalsystems to effectively meet operating goals and objectives;develops and evaluates policies and procedures to effectively carryout departmental operations; promotes staff collaboration,innovation and critical thinking in developing solutions andapproaches to departmental issues.
Responsible for effectiveemployee relations, staff development and the administration ofhuman resources policies and procedures.
Performs other duties asassigned.
Education & ExperienceRequires a bachelor’s degree inbusiness administration, Accounting/Finance or related field withcourse work equivalent to a major concentration in accounting and10 years of progressively responsible experience in accounting,finance or a related field with 5-7 years of supervisory experiencein healthcare Auditing or Accounting, or an equivalent combinationof education and experience.
Advanced degree is desirable.
CertifiedPublic Accountant (CPA) also is desirable.
AdditionalRequirementsRequires an acceptable background check to includestate and local criminal check; satisfactory results from apre-employment medical evaluation and substance abuse testing andis subject to random alcohol and controlled substancetesting.
