CFO (Chief Financial Officer) Position Available In Blair, Pennsylvania

CFO (Chief Financial Officer) Amtran Altoona, PA 16601 Overview AMTRAN (Altoona, PA) is seeking a Chief Financial Officer. This position is responsible for the financial management, accounting, and management information functions of AMTRAN, a public transportation agency with over 50 employees. The essential function of this position is to perform all financial/accounting aspects of AMTRAN, including AP/AR, journals, balance sheets, payroll, preparing monthly cash flow reports, and monthly financial reports. Responsibilities include being able to prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual grant reports to state and federal agencies, preparing PennDOT operating and capital grants, preparing federal grant requests to distribute to appropriate agencies, and preparing for/assisting with state, federal, and independent auditors when necessary, preparing financial data for the FTA’s National Transit Database, and preparing and filing tax and pension reports. Skills/Knowledge/Abilities Knowledge of accounting practices and principles Knowledge of cash audit process Knowledge of accounting and financial reporting standards Knowledge of or ability to learn grant management regulations Ability to lead and manage employees Ability to understand and follow government regulations Ability to accurately calculate cash flow requirements and properly invest cash Ability to perform duties under pressure and in an accurate manner Ability to communicate effectively, whether verbally or in writing Ability to cooperate with employees of the Authority and the public, including outside agencies and auditors
