CFO – Chief Financial Officer Position Available In Hamilton, Tennessee

Description Our expanding dentistry client is looking for an experienced interim/fractional Chief Financial Officer (CFO). This role is based in Chattanooga, Tennessee, but will be worked remotely and offers an exciting opportunity to provide strategic financial leadership and guidance. The successful candidate will play a key role in evaluating the organization’s financial health and supporting the business owner in making informed decisions for future growth.

Responsibilities:

• Conduct a comprehensive review of financial statements, including balance sheets, cash flow, and reimbursements, to assess the organization’s financial stability.
• Develop financial forecasts and build models to guide the business owner in tracking performance and planning investments in additional dental practices.
• Offer strategic recommendations to improve financial management and support the organization’s growth objectives.
• Provide financial education to the business owner, focusing on key metrics and strategies to sustain and expand the practice.
• Collaborate with the existing EA/Accounting Assistant and external accounting services to ensure accurate and timely bookkeeping.
• Evaluate the effectiveness of current accounting systems and suggest improvements for streamlined operations.
• Analyze cash flow patterns and budget processes to identify areas for optimization.
• Oversee capital management strategies to support the organization’s financial goals. Requirements
• Proven experience in financial leadership roles, particularly in multi-practice or healthcare settings.
• Experience with pre-acquisition due diligence is needed
• Proficiency with accounting software systems, including Xero, and familiarity with tools such as ADP and CRM platforms.
• Strong background in cash flow analysis, budgeting, and capital management.
• Demonstrated expertise in financial forecasting, modeling, and auditing processes.
• Ability to communicate complex financial concepts clearly to non-financial stakeholders.
• Knowledge of best practices in accounting functions and business systems.
• Detail-oriented with strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field; CPA or equivalent certification preferred.
