REMOTE POSITION – MUST LIVE IN ARKANSAS
Investigates, evaluates, and settles insurance claims related to flood damage. They determine if the insurance policy covers the loss, decide the appropriate payment amount, and ensure claims are not fraudulent. This role also includes tasks like reviewing documentation, analyzing policy revisions, and potentially preparing manuals related to flood insurance.

Responsibilities :
Thoroughly examine flood damage claims, assessing the extent of the loss and verifying the information provided. Determine if the insurance policy covers the specific flood damage claim based on policy terms and regulation Decide on the appropriate amount the insurance company should pay, considering policy limits, damage estimates, and other factors Identify and address any potential fraudulent claims Review and analyze supporting documentation for claims, including reports, photos, and invoices. Communicate with claimants, adjusters, and other stakeholders regarding claim status and decisions Ability to work independently and in a team environment Prepare reports and records related to claim investigations and resolutions. Prepare reports and records related to claim investigations and resolutions. Provide expert evaluations on specific projects or matters related to flood insurance and claims. Negotiate settlements with claimants to reach a mutually agreeable payment amount.
Qualifications:
High School Diploma or equivalent; BS degree a plus
MUST LIVE IN ARKANSAS
Minimum 3 years of experience in claims adjusting, examining, liability and/or litigation Possess insurance company certifications Certification as a Floodplain Manager (CFM) definite plus Licensed in state of residence (if required) and/or other state (s) (if required). Excellent oral & written communication skills. Proficient in Microsoft office suite, Xactimate and MSB knowledge Proactive results-oriented self-starter. Must possess investigative, problem-solving, customer service & negotiation skills. Ability to identify, analyze and solve problems with a high degree of accuracy, detail and follow-through. Special Requirements :
Must possess a laptop computer with Microsoft Word, Excel and estimating software (Xactimate). Cell phone with text messaging, internet and email capabilities.
