What you will do in this position: Conduct thorough investigations to establish liability in fire and large loss claims. Maintain large loss reports for internal and external reinsurance stakeholders. Collect evidence, statements, and documentation to support subrogation efforts. Provide exceptional service to internal and external customers, maintaining clear communication and engagement throughout the claims process. Collaborate with internal and external partners, offering guidance and expert recommendations. Manage litigated subrogation claims inventory in alignment with company practices and industry standards. Accurately document claim activities in the electronic claims management system. Stay current on legal and statutory developments related to subrogation, litigation, and residential property/liability claims. Routinely review loss reports to identify subrogation opportunities. Prepare and conduct regular subrogation training sessions for adjusters. Uphold ethical standards and ensure compliance with company policies and core values. Support Slide’s production goals and overall success. Perform other duties as assigned. What you bring to the position: Education, Experience, and Licensing Requirements Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of a high school diploma and relevant work experience. Active Florida 6-20 Resident All Lines Adjuster License required. Minimum 5 years of experience with an insurance carrier. Minimum 5 years of experience in subrogation or liability. Minimum 3 years of litigation handling experience. Knowledge of Florida laws and multiple state-specific insurance laws. Industry certifications such as CPCU or AIC preferred. Qualifications/Skills and Competencies needed to be successful Advanced knowledge of Florida insurance laws and good faith claims handling. Strong ability to interpret and apply legal and procedural guidelines. Excellent customer service, communication, and negotiation skills. Strong interpersonal, critical thinking, and analytical skills. Technically proficient and data driven. Ability to manage multiple priorities and adapt to change. Proficiency in Microsoft 365 applications (Teams, SharePoint, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook). Xactimate proficiency is a plus. Commitment to Slide’s Core Values.
