$17.34 – $21.67 / hour Summary Provides claim follow up, resolution of and payment from insurance companies for unpaid claims of LMHS employed physicians. Duties will include completing outstanding insurance reports, researching insurance correspondence, documenting in the Medic computer system, following up on customer inquiries and/or complaints, and communicating with other departments. Duties may also include posting of insurance and patient receipts, customer service phone calls, and assisting intra- departmentally to resolve accounts.

Sort, prepare, scan, and index incoming correspondences. Review batch updates for posting. Request and retrieve medical records daily from CIOX. Extract physician records from Epic and send them to insurance companies via portal or fax.

• Excellent communication skills and attention to detail are important.
• Must stay calm under stress and have a positive attitude.
• Able to work alone or with others.
• Must know basic computer skills and type 30 words per minute.
• Need a high school diploma or GED.
• 1-2 years of office or healthcare experience helpful.
• Knowing Microsoft Excel is a bonus.
