Claims Adjuster Central Florida Loss Consultants Pinellas County, FL Overview At Central Florida Loss Consultants we are looking for motivated individuals to join our team. As a Claims Adjuster/Loss Consultant you will play a key role in ensuring that our client’s assets are taken care of via referring them to the proper restoration company contingent on the level of damages their homes have received during natural disasters. It is the Loss Consultant’s responsibility to properly inspect our client’s home for damages sustained during natural disasters and ease their mind by providing an expert opinion on how to best resolve these claims. Duties Damage Assessment and Evaluation Conduct on-site inspections to assess property damage caused by catastrophic events (e.g., hurricanes, earthquakes, floods). Analyze and document the scope of loss, including structural and non-structural damages. Insurance Claim Support Maintain full communication with your prospective client to keep them informed and updated on the current status of their claim by always answering phone calls and messages. Client Education Educate clients on the nature of catastrophic risks, loss prevention, and insurance policies. After a prospective clients agrees to be represented by our team, attempt to obtain a minimum of 1 to 2 referrals from them, if possible. Collaboration and Communication Work closely with insurance adjusters, attorneys, contractors, engineers, and other professionals involved in the claims process. Maintain clear and ongoing communication with clients throughout the assessment and claims process. Provide updates and status reports to clients and other stakeholders. Disaster Recovery Support Provide recommendations on immediate recovery actions after a catastrophe. Support clients in identifying short-term solutions and long-term rebuilding strategies. Coordinate with other recovery professionals (e.g., environmental specialists, construction experts) to facilitate the restoration process. Continuous Professional Development Stay current with industry best practices, emerging risks, and new technologies related to catastrophe loss consulting. Attend relevant conferences, training, and certification programs to improve knowledge and skills. Maintain full communication with your prospective client to keep them informed and updated on the current status of their claim by always answering phone calls and messages. Catastrophic Event Preparedness Be willing to commute within Central Florida such as, but not limited to: Tampa Bay Area, Orange County, or in rare cases, the Florida Panhandle. Help businesses and individuals prepare for potential catastrophic events by identifying risks and vulnerabilities. Data Analysis and Reporting Collect, analyze, and interpret data related to losses, damage trends, and claims history. Prepare detailed reports outlining the damage assessment, estimated repair costs, and recommended actions. Use specialized tools to document and report findings. Risk Management Consultation Provide recommendations on risk management strategies to minimize the impact of future catastrophes. Advise clients on how to strengthen their infrastructure and implement measures to reduce potential losses in future events. Skills –
Preferred:
Experience with insurance claims adjusting Fluency in Spanish is a Plus Door knocking experience is a Plus Experience in the insurance industry Some understanding of Zoning Laws/Codes as well as building codes is a Plus Customer Service Construction Training will be provided. Skills/documentation –
Required:
Sales Experience Valid Florida Driver License Reliable method of transportation Ability to travel within the Tampa Bay area, Orange County and Florida Panhandle if needed. Ability to perform on-sight inspections which may include, but are not limited to: taking pictures of the damages, lifting small to medium sized objects such as tools, ladders, climbing up a ladder to inspect roof for potential damage. Valid Insurance Coverage for personal vehicle used for traveling Compensation This position is 1099, compensation will be contingent on the number of leads and successful referrals the Loss Consultant receives on a biweekly basis.
