Job Summary:
Are you ready to take your property claims experience to the next level? Olympus Insurance Company is seeking a Claims Adjuster I to support our policyholders through the entire claims process with empathy, efficiency, and expertise. If you’re a licensed professional with a knack for negotiation and investigation, we want to hear from you!
What You’ll Do:
As a Claims Adjuster I , you will be a key advocate for our policyholders, guiding them through the claims process with professionalism and empathy.
Your day-to-day will include:
Thorough Investigation and Coverage Analysis :
Confirm the facts of loss and policy coverage for each claim, ensuring a fair and timely resolution. You’ll analyze documentation, interview involved parties, and verify policy details.
Estimate Property Damage :
Utilize tools like Xactimate and XactAnalysis to accurately assess and estimate property damage across a variety of claim types and perils.
Customer-Focused Communication :
Serve as the primary contact for policyholders, public adjusters, attorneys, and contractors. Clearly explain coverage, updates, settlements, and next steps—building trust and clarity throughout the claims process.
Claim Resolution and Settlement :
Collaborate with experts and legal teams when needed. Prepare claim files for resolution, draft necessary correspondence (e.g., denial letters, reservation of rights), and negotiate settlements using advanced dispute resolution techniques.
Compliance and Documentation :
Ensure all actions are in line with company guidelines, industry best practices, and regulatory requirements. Maintain detailed, timely, and accurate file documentation for internal and external audits.
Litigation and Mediation Support :
Participate in mediations, coordinate appraisals, and testify in depositions or court proceedings, as necessary.
Special Case Management :
Identify potential fraud indicators, serious injuries, subrogation opportunities, and large losses—reporting these appropriately for specialized handling.
Collaboration and Flexibility :
Work across departments, assist on special projects, and remain available during catastrophe events to support policyholders during high-impact times.
What You Bring:
High school diploma required; college degree preferred. 1-3 years of Florida property claims handling experience. Valid Florida 620 All Lines Adjuster License . Proficiency in Xactimate and XactAnalysis is a must. Strong organizational, analytical, negotiation, and communication skills. Tech-savvy, customer-focused, and team-oriented with a proactive mindset.
