Full Job Description Position Overview:
We are seeking a dedicated Insurance Claims and Policy Processing Clerk to join our team. This in-person role will involve reviewing and processing insurance policy quotes, existing policies, and claims forms, ensuring all documents are accurate, complete, and compliant with company and regulatory standards. You will work closely with the Public Adjusters, providing administrative support and assisting with clerical duties throughout the insurance claims process.
THIS POSITION IS NOT REMOTE AND WILL REQUIRE YOU TO WORK IN THE OFFICE
Key Responsibilities:
- Review and process insurance policy quotes, existing policies, and claims forms.
- Gather and verify information from policyholders, insurers, agents, vendors, and other stakeholders to ensure accuracy and completeness of all claim-related documents.
- Assist Public Adjusters in managing and processing insurance claims from start to finish.
- Prepare detailed claims reports and documentation.
- Communicate with clients, carriers, legal teams, and other relevant parties to obtain and relay information regarding claims status.
- Organize and maintain claims files, ensuring accurate records of claims and correspondence.
- Analyze policy coverage and assess claim eligibility.
- Assist in resolving claim disputes and escalate issues when necessary.
- Stay informed about industry trends, regulations, and best practices related to insurance claims handling.
- Collaborate with the Public Adjuster to develop and implement strategies for maximizing claim outcomes.
- Oversee and train claims clerical assistants to ensure the team operates efficiently.
- Perform general office clerical tasks, including filing, photocopying, scanning, and maintaining office supplies.
Required Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or equivalent (required).
- 5+ years of administrative or clerical experience (required).
- Florida All-Lines 6-20 Adjuster License (required within 90 days of the start date).
- Florida Public Adjuster 03-20 License (required within 6 months of the start date).
- Strong communication and organizational skills , with attention to detail.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook) and basic office equipment.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Associate or bachelor’s degree in a relevant field (preferred).
- Certification in insurance claims handling (preferred).
- Florida 4-40 Customer Representative License (preferred).
Work Environment & Schedule:
- In-person role only – No remote work.
- Typical schedule: Monday to Friday during off-peak season; Sunday to Friday or Monday to Saturday during peak season.
- Typing speed: Minimum of 40 WPM.
