- This role is responsible for managing casualty claim intake, investigation, and assists with developing action plans through claim closure by partnering with internal and external resources. This position is responsible for contributing to casualty claim mitigation strategy and coordinating with various cost containment partners to achieve optimal results.

Do:
- + Assist in bringing optimal resolution to casualty claims including + Oversee claim intake to ensure all necessary information is received by the proper parties + Assist in the investigation and causation of such claims and report out to various internal business partners to address concerns and identify potential safety training opportunities + Coordinate with adjusters to assist them in securing evidence or data needed to adjust such claims + Review adjuster notes and strategic action plans to provide established settlement authority and reserve concurrence to Third-Party Claims Administrator (TPA) + Responsible for the success, execution, and maintenance of the Workers’ Compensation Return-to-Work Program + Oversee administration of the Texas Non-Subscriber program in lieu of Workers Compensation + Identify subrogation opportunities based on location/causation of injury, when applicable + Monitor performance of cost containment partners program and identify program opportunities and solutions to continuously drive optimal outcomes Request personnel files and additional wage information needed during discovery for litigated matters or for TPA adjusters + Act as primary liaison to injured team members to assist answering questions on the workers’ compensation process + Update Operations, Human Resources, or others on the status of workers’ comp claims + Assist TPA Return-to-Work Coordinator in securing information needed for a safe and timely return-to-work + Request workers’ comp physician panels from TPA, as needed, and ensure panels are distributed for display in required facilities + Participate in and contribute to claim reviews with TPA and broker + Assist in enhancing claim reporting to track various metrics across the claim program + Help to manage relationships with outside counsel for workers’ compensation litigation and recommend changes to firms, as needed + Occasionally assists in addressing questions from field operations, accounting, and other departments related to chargeback allocations for liability claims This position may require other duties be assigned or project work •
Additional Requirements:
- + High School Diploma, college degree preferred + 5+ years of workers’ compensation or degree in risk management + ARM, AIC or similar designation preferred _
- This is a non-exempt role, paid an hourly wage.
