About the Position
MDOC description for position: Located in the Administrative Remedy Program Department at SMCI. Functions have various administrative roles which includes but not limited to: Assisting offenders via written procedures and prepare correspondence for ARP Department, enter info in OffenderTrak system, complete necessary reports, prepare ACA documentation, and prepare documents for court as requested. Has direct contact with offenders.
MSPB description:
This is professional investigative work involving gathering and presenting facts based on extensive research. Responsible for making thorough examinations of records, analyzing data, interviewing witnesses, and auditing financial documentation. Reviews cases of complaints, suspected safety violations, and fraud allegations. Compiles and completes investigative reports of violations. Conducts audits of financial records when monetary infractions are concerned. May operate in an “undercover” capacity while investigating.
What you’ll need to be Successful
To be successful in this position, you will need to be highly organized, pay close attention to detail, follow
MSPB AND MDOC
Policies and Procedures, have good communication skills, and be able to meet deadlines.
Preferred Qualifications
Typically requires a Bachelor’s Degree and 2-4 years of investigative experience. •NOTE• Applicants with High School diploma/GED or “some college” would need to submit a letter requesting experience to be considered in lieu of education requirement. The letter should be emailed to MSPB once you have applied for the position.
