Remote Job Description:
Responsibilities Investigate, analyze, and manage complex workers’ compensation claims to determine exposure and develop resolution strategies. Calculate and assign reserves; ensure reserve adequacy throughout the claim lifecycle. Negotiate and settle claims within designated authority levels. Process and approve timely benefit payments and adjustments. Prepare and submit state filings within statutory deadlines. Manage litigation and coordinate with legal and investigative vendors. Apply cost containment strategies to reduce overall claim costs. Handle recoveries including subrogation, Second Injury Fund, and Medicare offsets. Communicate claim status and updates to claimants and clients professionally. Maintain accurate documentation and ensure proper claims coding. Minimum Qualifications Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience. Active Texas Workers’ Compensation Adjuster License. 5+ years of experience managing lost time workers’ compensation claims. Strong knowledge of insurance laws, medical management practices, and cost containment strategies. Proficient in Microsoft Office and claims management systems. Excellent communication, negotiation, and organizational skills. Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a remote team environment. Preferred Qualifications Experience handling public entity claims. Professional certifications relevant to claims management.
