They are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Office Assistant / Insurance Specialist to join the team and support their operations and patient services. Must have Insurance auth/verification & medical billing experience

Overview:

The Office Assistant / Insurance Specialist will play a vital role in managing administrative tasks, coordinating insurance claims, and ensuring smooth clinic operations. The ideal candidate will have experience in prosthetic and orthotic care, insurance billing, and office management, with excellent communication skills and a compassionate approach.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Greet and assist patients, ensuring a welcoming and professional environment
  • Manage patient scheduling and appointment coordination
  • Handle insurance verifications, claims submissions, and follow-up processes
  • Maintain accurate patient records and documentation
  • Communicate effectively with insurance companies, patients, and staff regarding coverage and billing inquiries
  • Support clinic operations, including inventory management and administrative tasks
  • Uphold confidentiality and comply with healthcare regulations
Qualifications:
  • Prior experience in prosthetic and orthotic clinics or related healthcare settings preferred
  • Strong knowledge of insurance billing, claims processing, and reimbursement procedures is a must
  • Excellent organizational and multitasking skills
  • Effective communication and interpersonal abilities
  • Proficiency in MS Office and healthcare management software
  • Attention to detail and problem-solving skills
  • Compassionate and patient-focused attitude
