Claims Compliance Specialist 3.2 3.2 out of 5 stars 150 Motor Parkway, Hauppauge, NY 11788 W Services Group, a leading North American Facilities Management Organization is seeking a Claims Compliance Specialist that will oversee and manage all legal, compliance, loss prevention, and claims-related activities within the company. This role requires an individual who can ensure the company’s operations are in compliance with industry regulations, mitigate risks, manage claims, and support legal processes, while minimizing the company’s exposure. The Manager will oversee the entire compliance process for contractors and clients, ensuring the timely execution of all activities related to on-boarding, verifications, insurance reviews, and incident investigations. This role also includes leadership and mentorship of the Legal, Compliance, and Loss Prevention teams
Primary Responsibilities:
Legal & Compliance Management Oversee the company’s legal and compliance processes, ensuring all documents and procedures are accurate and in line with regulatory requirements. Work with the Legal department to resolve non-litigated matters and loss prevention claims, providing timely legal support. Ensure compliance with insurance requirements, including monitoring renewals and handling COI requests. Establish and maintain procedures related to legal and compliance matters, ensuring consistent application across departments. Supervise the Contractor Compliance process from onboarding to ongoing vendor management, minimizing liability exposure. Review vendor onboarding documents for accuracy and approve or work with staff on revisions. Verify the accuracy of all paperwork received from prospects and vendors, ensuring proper documentation is uploaded. Monitor vendor compliance, including the timely processing of insurance renewals and notice of cancellations. Approve new vendors in accordance with company policies and compliance standards. Ensure accurate updates to the proprietary system (Waves) with timely information regarding notes, RTS, and other necessary fields. Prepare reports as needed for senior management regarding compliance, claims, and incident investigations. Staff Management & Training Provide leadership and mentorship to the Legal, Compliance, and Loss Prevention team, ensuring staff are trained and equipped to manage their responsibilities. Develop staff skills by training and mentoring on legal, compliance, and loss prevention matters. Ensure staff consistently follow up on documents, insurance renewals, and claims management in a timely and organized manner. Special Projects As Assigned Accept additional responsibilities or projects as needed. Provide assistance to others within & outside department as necessary due to business needs. Skills Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Law, or a related field; relevant certifications or legal qualifications preferred. Minimum of 5 years of experience in legal and compliance management, preferably in the facilities management industry. Strong understanding of industry regulations, vendor management, risk management, claims handling, loss prevention and legal processes. Proficiency with compliance management software and Microsoft Office Suite. Proven experience in leading, mentoring, and training staff Ability to multitask, prioritize, and manage a high volume of tasks in a fast-paced environment
Pay:
$70,000.00 – $80,000.00 per year
