Negotiation Full Job Description Your Role:
You’ll play a critical role in evaluating coverage, liability, and damages for each unique claim. You’ll collaborate across teams and with external stakeholders to effectively investigate, negotiate, and resolve claims.
Key Responsibilities Coverage Analysis :
Review initial loss notices and policy terms to confirm coverage; draft disclaimers and reservation of rights letters as appropriate.
Claims Investigation :
Conduct in-depth investigations, including liability and damages evaluations, interviews, site visits, and evidence collection.
Adjuster Oversight :
Engage and direct independent adjusters, managing all phases of the investigative process.
Liability Assessment :
Interpret statutes and case law to evaluate liability exposure and ensure equitable contribution from all involved parties.
Reserve Management :
Establish and adjust reserves accurately to reflect the evolving nature of each claim.
File Oversight :
Proactively handle claim files, negotiate settlements with claimants or attorneys, oversee defense counsel, and ensure efficient litigation strategy.
Reporting & Documentation :
Prepare reserve authority requests, reinsurance updates, serious loss reports, and formal coverage communications.
Cross-Functional Collaboration :
Coordinate with underwriting, compliance, and actuarial teams to support sound risk practices and product integrity.

Associate Claims Examiner:
Minimum 2 years
Claims Examiner:
Minimum 7 years Background in adjusting, claims handling, legal work (e.g., paralegal or attorney), or other relevant roles.
Preferred Expertise :
Claims experience with Employment Practices Liability , Directors & Officers (D&O) , and/or Errors & Omissions (E&O) policies.
Additional Assets :
