Job Responsibilities

Responsibilities You will serve as an 11c Whistleblower Investigator.
You will conduct investigations and review complaints, interview witnesses, gather facts, analyze information, and make recommendations for the disposition of cases.
You will timely prepare correspondence and reports of investigations.
You will negotiate and prepare settlement documents for the formal and informal resolution of whistleblower cases.
You will maintain accurate and complete files and provide status reports, as requested. You will perform other assigned work and duties in support of the Division of Labor.
Minimum and Additional Requirements
Minimum Qualifications A high school diploma and experience conducting investigations or performing other law enforcement duties. (A bachelor’s degree may be substituted for the required work experience.)
Preferred Qualifications Experience in one or more of the following areas: OSHA law, retaliation and/or discrimination laws, labor and employment law, and/or regulatory law.
Knowledge of South Carolina laws, rules and regulations applicable to the job duties
Knowledge of the policies, procedures, techniques, practices and principles of conducting investigations. Ability to evaluate evidence and conduct investigations. Ability to analyze complex situations, determine pertinent facts, and reach reasonable conclusions. Ability to present clear, concise and comprehensive written and oral reports. Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with associates, law officers, professional and nonprofessional individuals and the general public. Ability to respond professionally during stressful situations. Other Requirements
Position is located in an office environment with long periods of sitting. Must have a valid driver’s license and 10-year MVR that complies with State and Agency Fleet guidelines.
Must be able to drive a state or personal vehicle to complete assigned job duties.
Moderate daily and/or overnight travel throughout the State. Additional Comments
