The ideal candidate will have a strong background in medical terminology, coding, billing, and collections. Duties Review and process medical claims for accuracy and compliance Verify patient insurance coverage and eligibility Utilize ICD-9 and ICD-10 codes to ensure proper claim submission Investigate and resolve any discrepancies or issues with claims Communicate with healthcare providers and insurance companies regarding claim status Maintain accurate records of claims and related documentation Collaborate with internal teams to streamline claim processing procedures Requirements Proficiency in medical terminology, coding, billing, and collections Familiarity with medical coding systems such as ICD-9 and ICD-10 Experience working with medical records and office procedures Strong attention to detail and accuracy Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment Previous experience in a similar role is preferred, but not required
