Overview Sage Dental is seeking a dynamic and strategic Director ofCompliance to oversee compliance with federal, state, and locallaws, as well as industry regulations related to dental healthcaredelivery and business operations. This individual will beresponsible for developing, implementing, and maintaining acomprehensive compliance program, including HIPAA, OSHA, fraud andabuse prevention, and internal auditing procedures. We are lookingfor an expert in healthcare compliance, a strong communicator, anda collaborative leader with a proactive approach to riskmanagement. The selected candidate must be highly organized, detailoriented, and able to work quickly in a fast-paced, time-sensitiveenvironment. Responsibilities Design, implement, and oversee the company-wide complianceprogram, ensuring alignment with all relevant laws, regulations,and ethical standards. Develop and maintain compliance-related policies and standardoperating procedures (SOPs) to guide team members and affiliatedpractices. Oversight of OSHA, CDC, EPA, and state dental compliance rulesand regulations for all Sage Dental offices. Oversight of the reporting, investigation, and resolution ofcompliance incidents, ensuring timely documentation andcommunication to appropriate stakeholders. Manage the Patient Quality Assurance (PQA) team, as well asinsurance carrier compliance. Work with Sage Dental vendors for clinical supplies, ensuringall dental offices maintain compliance with biomedical waste, OSHAand radiation regulations. Participate in the opening of new and acquired locations. Ensure compliance policies and procedures are accurate andupdated. Schedule and chair monthly Clinical Compliance meetings. Conduct initial and annual safety and compliance audits forSage offices. Create and present compliance training materials for onboardingof new employees. Qualifications Bachelor’s degree required; Master’s in HealthcareAdministration, or Certified in Healthcare Compliance (CHC)preferred. 5+ years of experience in healthcare compliance, with at least2 years in a leadership role; dental industry and DSO experiencestrongly preferred. In-depth knowledge of healthcare regulatory frameworksincluding HIPAA and OSHA. Experience leading internal investigations, audits, andregulatory responses. Proven ability to lead cross-functional initiatives and drivecultural alignment around compliance. Critical thinking skills, ability to organize, prioritize andmanage multiple projects with overlapping deadlines Exceptional communication skills.
