The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of healthcare regulations, including Medicare, HIPAA, JCAHO, and FDA regulations, and will be responsible for developing, implementing, and overseeing compliance programs that align with industry standards. This role requires a strategic thinker who can effectively manage compliance risks while fostering a culture of integrity and ethical behavior throughout the organization. Responsibilities Develop and implement comprehensive compliance programs that adhere to Medicare, HIPAA, JCAHO, and FDA regulations. Conduct regular audits and assessments to ensure compliance with internal policies and external regulatory requirements. Provide training and guidance to staff on compliance-related matters, including coding practices (ICD-10 and ICD-9) and documentation standards. Monitor changes in legislation and industry standards to proactively address potential compliance issues. Collaborate with various departments to promote a culture of compliance and ethical conduct within the organization. Serve as the primary point of contact for regulatory agencies during audits or investigations. Experience Minimum of 5 years of experience in compliance management within the healthcare sector. In-depth knowledge of Medicare, HIPAA, JCAHO standards, ICD-10 coding, ICD-9 coding, and FDA regulations. Proven track record in developing effective compliance programs and conducting audits. Strong analytical skills with the ability to identify risks and implement effective solutions. Excellent communication skills with the ability to influence stakeholders at all levels. Certification in healthcare compliance (CHC) or similar credentials is highly desirable.
