Please visit our website foradditional background on our business platform -www.secondavenue.com Job Summary The Manager – Community Complianceis a key leadership role and is responsible for overseeing a teamof Community Compliance Specialists who manage all aspects of HOAand Municipality processes for our single-family rental properties.
From ensuring compliance with regulations to fostering positiverelationships with stakeholders, the Manager of CommunityCompliance plays a critical role in maintaining our relationshipswithin various organizational and governing bodies within thecommunities we serve. This strategic leader will set and achievegoals, mentor team members, and collaborate with variousdepartments to enhance operational efficiencies. Duties andResponsibilities
- Supervise and mentor a team of CommunityCompliance Specialists, providing guidance, support, andperformance feedback.
- Set clear goals and expectations for theteam and monitor progress towards achieving objectives.
- Overseethe management of all HOA and Municipality compliance processes,including handling violations, rental registrations, processingapplications, obtaining permits, and ensuring adherence to localregulations and HOA guidelines.
- Stay informed about relevantlaws, ordinances, and HOA guidelines affecting our properties andensure compliance.
- Coordinate due diligence on new acquisitionsand existing properties, including reviewing HOA documents,assessing compliance, and identifying risks.
- Manage theapplication process for incoming residents, ensuring timely andaccurate processing of applications and adherence to screeningcriteria.
- Collaborate with leasing teams to verify applicantinformation and facilitate the approval process.
- Ensureviolations are addressed promptly, attend legal hearings, manageresidents chargebacks, and follow up with agencies to confirmresolution.
- Liaise with third-party vendors, such as HOAmanagement companies and municipal authorities, to addresscompliance-related issues and resolve disputes effectively.
- Maintain accurate records and documentation related to complianceactivities, violations, and resident applications.
- Prepareregular reports for senior management, providing insights intocompliance metrics, trends, and areas for improvement.
- Continuously evaluate and streamline compliance processes.
- Develop and deliver training programs for the compliance team,ensuring that staff members are knowledgeable about relevantregulations, procedures, and best practices.
- Keep abreast ofindustry developments and provide ongoing education to team membersto enhance their skills and expertise.
- Implement qualityassurance measures to ensure the accuracy and consistency ofcompliance-related processes and documentation.
- Conduct periodicaudits and reviews to identify deficiencies, implement correctiveactions, and ensure compliance improvements.
- Serve as the primarycontact for escalated residents, HOAs, and municipalities,resolving compliance-related issues promptly and maintaining strongstakeholder relationships.
- Continuously evaluate existingcompliance processes and identify opportunities for streamliningand efficiency improvements.
- Implement new tools, technologies,and workflows to enhance the effectiveness of the compliance teamand optimize resource allocation. Qualifications
- In-depthknowledge of HOA regulations, municipal codes, and propertymanagement best practices.
- Proven ability to set long-term goals,identify key initiatives, and allocate resources effectively.
- Strong leadership experience in managing organizational change,including process improvements and technology implementations.
- Demonstrated success in driving operational excellence andperformance improvements.
- Proficient in project managementsoftware and compliance tracking tools. Education and Experience
- Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Real EstateManagement, Project Management, or a related field, preferred.
- 5years of experience in property management, real estate compliance,HOA management, or a related field, preferably with in thesingle-family rental sector.
- Experience managing complianceacross multiple properties in different regions is stronglypreferred. Job Competencies

- Exceptional communication skills for engagingwith internal teams, legal entities, and external stakeholders.
- Ability to oversee complex multi-property compliance initiativeseffectively.
- Excellent communication skills, both written andverbal, with the ability to liaise effectively with propertymanagement teams, legal teams, government agencies, and tenants.
