This role involves managing inventory accuracy, filings, audits, and process controls to maintain the legal and efficient functioning of FTZ activities.
Key Responsibilities:
Supervise daily FTZ compliance activities including admissions, removals, and inventory reconciliation. Ensure compliance with CBP regulations, including timely and accurate filing of e214s, CBP Forms 216, Annual Reports, and Weekly Entry filings. Oversee and manage FTZ inventory control and recordkeeping systems (ICRS). Conduct periodic self-audits and support CBP or internal audits. Liaise with Customs brokers, logistics providers, and internal teams (warehouse, procurement, finance). Train team members on FTZ policies, procedures, and compliance updates. Develop and update SOPs related to FTZ operations. Coordinate with IT and software vendors on FTZ-related system functionalities. Maintain accurate HTS classifications and documentation.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in International Business, Supply Chain, Logistics, or a related field (or equivalent experience). 3-5 years of experience in FTZ operations or trade compliance. Knowledge of CBP regulations, U.S. import/export laws, and FTZ Manual. Experience with FTZ software (e.g., QuestaWeb, Integration Point, etc.). Strong analytical and organizational skills. Ability to manage cross-functional teams and projects. Customs Broker License or Certified Customs Specialist (CCS) is a plus.
