Role Overview The EHS Director – Systems and Compliance is responsible for leading the enterprise-wide development and execution of EHS compliance systems, auditing programs, and data reporting processes. This role ensures alignment with U.S. and global EHS regulations, oversees ISO certification management, and supports customer compliance requirements. As a key member of the headquarters EHS team, the Director manages the Environmental and Data Management EHS Team, driving continuous improvement and standardization across sites. The position also leads governance efforts, collaborates with cross-functional leadership, and provides strategic oversight to ensure the organization meets its EHS obligations effectively and efficiently. Key Responsibilities Demonstrates our core competencies: Action oriented, change champion, customer-focused, developing self & others, and ownership. Lead, mentor, and develop the Environmental and Data Management EHS Team responsible for enterprise-level EHS systems, data reporting, and programmatic support. Foster a high-performance culture that emphasizes accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement. Oversee and continuously improve global EHS management systems to ensure compliance tracking, risk mitigation, and performance transparency. Drive the strategic development and integration of digital tools for auditing, reporting, and data analysis. Ensure ongoing compliance with U.S. (e.g., OSHA, EPA) and international EHS regulations and standards. Develop and sustain robust governance frameworks, policies, and procedures to support legal and ethical business practices. Lead corporate-level EHS auditing functions, including planning, execution, corrective action tracking, and compliance verification. Establish and maintain metrics dashboards and performance KPIs to measure EHS effectiveness and compliance across global operations. Manage certification and maintenance efforts for
ISO 14001, ISO
45001, and other relevant EHS standards. Champion enterprise-wide EHS continuous improvement initiatives, focusing on process efficiency, data integrity, and risk reduction. Collaborate with Legal, Operations, Supply Chain, and Site EHS leaders to align compliance strategies with business priorities. Provide strategic counsel and regular updates to executive leadership on compliance status, risks, and improvement plans. Requirements Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Science, Occupational Health & Safety or Engineering (Master’s degree preferred). 10+ years of progressive experience in EHS leadership roles, with a focus on systems and compliance within a complex, global organization. Deep knowledge of U.S. and international EHS laws, regulations, and best practices. Strong experience with ISO 14001 and
ISO 45001
certification management. Demonstrated success leading cross-functional teams and enterprise-wide initiatives. Proficiency in EHS Insights software and or equivalent solutions. Exceptional communication, strategic thinking, and organizational skills. Ability to travel 50%.
