It’s more than a job As a Contract Logistics Specialist at Kuehne+Nagel, you will manage end-to-end warehousing operations for our customers. By doing so with precision, you not only contribute to the success of your team, but also to the day-to-day operations and success in the warehouse and distribution centres. For example, storing and delivering delicate flowers and fresh ingredients to local stores for everyday lunches and family celebrations. At Kuehne+Nagel, our work truly contributes to more than we imagine. ‎ We are seeking to onboard a highly skilled and experienced QHSE Manager with a strong background in the Aerospace industry for our Contract Logistics facility in Union City, Georgia. The QHSE (Quality, Health, Safety, and Environment) Manager in the aerospace industry is responsible for overseeing and implementing quality management systems to ensure that products meet industry standards and customer requirements. The QSHE Manager is responsible for overseeing and enhancing the organization’s Quality Management System (QMS), ensuring compliance with regulatory standards, and driving continuous improvement initiatives. This role requires strong leadership, analytical skills, and the ability to collaborate across departments to uphold quality standards and operational excellence. You will play a key role in conducting audits, identifying areas for improvement, and implementing corrective actions to enhance overall quality and efficiency. Additionally, you are tasked with ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations to create a safe working environment for all employees. Moreover, you will promote environmental responsibility by implementing sustainable practices and reducing the organization’s carbon footprint. Your role is crucial for maintaining safety, quality, and regulatory compliance in the manufacturing and operation of aerospace products, ultimately contributing to the overall success of the company. How you create impact Ensure compliance with Quality Management Systems, ISO 9001, AS9100, Global Trade and other aerospace quality standards Ensure full compliance with aerospace industry standards (AS9100), maintain traceability and certification integrity Versed in reading prints, specifications sheets, and part dimensions and the ability to use calipers and gages to verify a part is within tolerance Maintain calibration of measuring and test equipment Serve as the primary quality interface with customers and internal departments Lead and manage inspection and auditing teams Oversee data analytics related to quality operations Maintain accurate quality compliance records in line with regulatory standards Provide support for initiatives and responsibilities related to Quality, Safety, Health, and Environmental (QSHE) compliance and performance Contribute to internal audit and learning programs to strengthen internal controls Identify and resolve compliance issues, implementing corrective and preventative actions as needed Investigate and address quality concerns, audits, and non-conformances Develop and deliver training programs for quality-related activities Ensure timely and accurate record-keeping Stay informed on regulatory changes and ensure organizational compliance Track, validate, and close corrective actions effectively Recommend and implement process improvements Assist with responses to government inquiries related to ITAR, EAR, Customs, and trade compliance Support the development of quality-related policies, procedures, and communications Participate in special projects and initiatives related to quality improvement What we would like you to bring

Required Qualifications:

Minimum 5 years of experience, including two years in a supervisory role in a related field Experience in highly regulated industries (e.g., FAA, ITAR, EAR) with a strong understanding of compliance, licensing, and regulatory frameworks Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Organization Development, or a related field; or equivalent education and experience Background in contracts, warehousing, operations, or related business functions U.S. Citizenship is required

Proficiency in SAP systems Strong organizational, analytical, and time management skills Ability to work independently and collaboratively under time-sensitive conditions Proven ability to engage cross-functional teams and external stakeholders Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with experience in training delivery High attention to detail and a proactive, self-starting approach Demonstrated problem-solving capabilities and follow-through Growth mindset with a commitment to continuous learning Investigative experience in quality-related matters Expertise in Quality Management Systems and regulatory compliance.
