Job Description
At Gilsbar, we prioritize integrity and accountability above all else. As we expand and adapt, we are looking for a strategic and results-oriented Director of Compliance and Risk Management to spearhead our compliance efforts and reduce organizational risks.

Job Duties:

Serves as an essential member of the Senior Leadership team, collaborating with fellow organizational leaders to strategize, implement, and complete projects. Provides strategic legal counsel to support business operations and transactions across the organization.
Conducts comprehensive legal research and interprets existing and emerging laws to guide informed decision-making and mitigate risks.
Collaborates with internal departments on contractual and compliance matters, addressing legal concerns in diverse practice areas, including corporate law, contract law, insurance law, HIPPA, TCPA, PCI, ERISA, cybersecurity and GLBA compliance.
Monitors regulatory requirements and implements necessary changes to compliance processes, ensuring alignment with evolving industry-specific and jurisdictional laws.

Qualifications:

Juris Doctor or Law degree from an accredited law school is required.
A minimum of 3 years of prior management/leadership experience.
Proficiency in legal research and oversight of Federal and State regulatory laws, along with Department of Insurance regulations, is preferred. Exceptional problem-solving, analytical, and critical thinking abilities.
Outstanding verbal presentation and written communication skills are needed to engage effectively at all levels of the organization.
