The US Privacy Office is responsible for the development, management, and oversight of the US Privacy Compliance Program. We work closely with Risk Owners and Oversight Functions to drive a culture of compliance with privacy related laws, rules, and regulations. The US Privacy Office leads and coordinates privacy related oversight by supporting and maintaining:? + Privacy Notices and Policies + Privacy Event Management + Regulatory Change Engagement + Monitoring + Training and Awareness + Issue Management and Reporting The Privacy Compliance Business Oversight Manager (US) provides advice, support and objective guidance/challenge to assigned portfolios, businesses or functions on development and maintenance of all aspects of Privacy Compliance in line with the Bank’s Privacy Policies and Standards, and applicable Privacy Laws, Rules, and Regulations.
This role will:
+ Perform Privacy Monitoring + Review Privacy Impact Assessments + Oversee Privacy Regulatory applicability mapping + Review and challenge controls around Privacy regulatory requirements + Record and oversee Privacy regulatory issues + Oversee and challenge Privacy aspects of business line procedures, projects, and processes This role will have close interaction with key personnel, including senior management, in US Privacy, Global Privacy, US Compliance, and US business line Privacy Designates.
Depth & Scope:
+ Works independently and is accountable for managing a specialized Compliance function or area + Provides comprehensive coverage for a significant business or functional area across all legal entities and jurisdictions where TD operates + Provides advanced analysis and/or specialized reporting to support business partners, functional areas or centers of expertise + Provides guidance and support to analysts on matters related to portfolio and specialty + Typically a subject matter expert for a key functional Compliance area and business + Contact for business management, dealing with non-routine information + Manages/assists with regulatory reviews including inquiries, audits, and exams + Identifies and leads problem resolution for project/program complex requirements related issues at all levels
Education & Experience:
+ Undergraduate degree or equivalent work experience + 7+ years of experience
Desired Skills and Experience:
+ Proficient knowledge of a variety of products and services, systems, and compliance advisory standards, procedures, and privacy laws, rules, regulations, and controls + Knowledge of risk management environment, standards, and regulations + Skill in using computer applications including MS Office + Ability to communicate effectively in both oral and written form + Ability to work collaboratively and build relationships + Ability to work successfully as a member of a team and independently + Ability to exercise sound judgment in making decisions + Ability to analyze, organize and prioritize work while meeting multiple deadlines + Ability to handle confidential information with discretion + CIPP/US Certification + Will consider strong candidate with less than 7 years related experience.
