Athletics – Athletic Administration; +1 Assessment, Accreditation, and Compliance The Assistant Director of Athletic for Compliance is responsible for the coordination and maintenance of the Department’s comprehensive compliance support system.
JOB FUNCTIONS
Provide strategic leadership, innovation and process analysis for the athletics department.
Produce NCAA National Letters of Intent and Student-Athlete Grant In-Aid documents.
Coordinate Change of Status Forms.
Work with athletic staff to fully integrate compliance software.
Administers all department travel rosters.
Coordinate and approve department Teams recruiting documents.
Coordinate operations between the athletics department and Student Health Insurance.
Coordinate the athletic department internal clearance documents and processes.
Coordinate all athletic contest tickets for prospective student-athletes.
Coordinate all prospective student-athlete try-outs.
Approve all PSA campus visits.
Provide management of Compliance Assistant.
Coordinate with campus partners to complete initial eligibility and team certification.
Track deposit and retention of Student Athletes.
Track Student Athlete Progress toward Degree.
Primary contact for inputting and completing NCAA transfer portal information.
Oversee Declaration of Playing Season for each program.
Monitor all Countable Athletic Related Activity (CARA), playing and practice seasons for all teams.
Completion of NCAA and conference interpretation request, waivers and violation reports.
Provide rules education for athletic department staff and campus collaborators.
Provide administrative support and supervision for coaches of all assigned sports, attend practices, home and away games, and conference championships as appropriate to represent the department and assess administrative needs.
Administer search committees as assigned by the Director of Athletics
Additional duties as assigned by Senior Associate AD for Internal Operations and the Director of Athletics.
EDUCATIONAL OR OTHER HIRING REQUIREMENTS FOR THE POSITION
Excellent organization, office and relational skills. Effective verbal communication skills. Ability to work effectively with the staff and the community at large. Undergraduate degree required, Master’s Degree preferred. NCAA Compliance Experience required.
