Full Job Description Primary Functions:
The Compliance Officer supports the COO by overseeing and reporting on HPC’s compliance efforts. This role provides leadership and guidance to ensure adherence to accreditation standards, laws, and regulations while managing the compliance program and fostering a culture of ethical conduct.
Major Responsibilities:
Act as main Point of Contact with all accreditation agencies on issues concerning HPC including initiating accreditation, reporting, monitoring, auditing, and re-accreditation. Reviews and monitors all payer contract requirements to ensure compliance. Initiate and implement all necessary actions to ensure achievement of compliance objectives and maintaining an effective compliance program. Develops, initiates, maintains and revises policies and procedures for the general operation of the compliance program and its related activities to prevent illegal, unethical, or improper conduct. Coordinates with all departments regarding development, initiation, maintenance, and revision of entire HPC Policy and Procedure Manual. Ensure proper reporting of violations or potential violations to duly authorized enforcement agencies. Identifies potential areas of compliance vulnerability and risk, develops and implements corrective action plans, and provides general guidance. Develops and periodically reviews standards of conduct. Develop an effective compliance training program for new and current employees. Provides reports on a regular basis.
