Job Description
Description We are looking for a detail-oriented Records Management – Import Analyst to join our team in Farmington, Connecticut. In this role, you will play a key part in managing recordkeeping and data analytics processes, with a focus on compliance and operational efficiency. This is a long-term contract position offering an excellent opportunity to grow within a dynamic and fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities:
- Organize and maintain accurate records to ensure compliance with import/export regulations.
- Analyze data to identify trends, discrepancies, and opportunities for process improvement.
- Support daily transactional operations, ensuring timely and accurate documentation.
- Collaborate with internal teams and external stakeholders to streamline shipping and logistics processes.
- Utilize tools such as Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and SAP R/3 to generate reports and presentations.
- Monitor and enforce adherence to customs and trade compliance standards.
- Assist in the preparation and review of financial notes and procurement documentation.
- Provide guidance on procedural updates and ensure alignment with regulatory requirements.
- Contribute to team initiatives aimed at enhancing operational workflows.
- Present findings and recommendations to management and other stakeholders effectively. Requirements
- Proven experience in recordkeeping, data analytics, or a related field, preferably within an importer/exporter environment.
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and other data analysis tools.
- Familiarity with customs brokerage, freight forwarding, or trade compliance processes.
- Excellent organizational and planning skills with a keen eye for detail.
- Ability to communicate effectively with stakeholders at various levels.
- Knowledge of SAP R/3 or similar systems is highly desirable.
- Understanding of logistics, procurement, and shipping functions.
- Demonstrated ability to adapt to changing business needs and priorities.
