This role is critical in identifying potential compliance risks, conducting internal audits, and providing guidance to various departments to ensure operations are aligned with local, state, and federal laws, especially within HR and employment practices. Key Responsibilities Develop, review, and update internal compliance policies and procedures. Monitor business activities to identify areas of compliance risk. Ensure compliance with employment laws, labor regulations, and industry-specific standards. Conduct regular internal audits and investigations to verify compliance adherence. Prepare and deliver compliance reports to executive leadership. Collaborate with HR, Legal, and Operations teams to interpret laws and ensure policy enforcement. Provide compliance training and education sessions for employees and managers. Liaise with regulatory bodies during audits, inspections, or compliance inquiries. Maintain accurate records of all compliance activities, findings, and corrective actions. Stay up-to-date with regulatory changes and advise the company on the impact of new laws. Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Law, Business Administration, Finance, or related field. 3+ years of proven experience in a compliance, audit, legal, or regulatory affairs role. In-depth knowledge of compliance regulations relevant to staffing, HR, or employment. Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities. High ethical standards and attention to confidentiality. Proficiency in compliance software and Microsoft Office Suite. Preferred Qualifications Certified Compliance & Ethics Professional (CCEP) or similar certification. Experience in a recruitment, HR consulting, or staffing agency environment. Familiarity with OSHA, FLSA, EEOC, HIPAA, and other U.S. employment regulations.
