Job Description:
The Compliance Coordinator will be responsible for supporting compliance operations, assisting with audits, maintaining accurate records, and helping implement regulatory procedures. This is a full-time, on-site role in Tampa, FL , requiring adaptability, attention to detail, and strong communication skills.
Key Responsibilities:
Help design and maintain compliance programs that align with internal policies and external regulations. Research and monitor regulatory updates and trends to assist decision-makers. Prepare compliance-related reports for business reviews and executive updates. Perform document reviews, including tracking expirations and onboarding status via online platforms. Support audit coordination for operational teams to ensure compliance timelines are met. Identify potential non-compliance and propose actionable, risk-mitigating solutions. Collaborate with leadership to uphold compliance standards and assess risk areas. Draft and update internal compliance documentation and procedures. Train operational staff on compliance expectations and policy updates. Participate in the rollout and evaluation of compliance tools and software. Set and monitor compliance performance metrics across various teams. Provide guidance on resolution planning for compliance-related concerns.
Qualifications & Skills:
Associate’s or bachelor’s degree in Business, Legal Studies, or a related field preferred. 1-3 years of experience in compliance, regulatory support, or administrative coordination. Foundational knowledge of compliance practices and regulatory frameworks. Proficient in Microsoft Office (especially Excel and Outlook); experience with Smartsheet or SharePoint is a plus. Strong organizational skills with high attention to detail, task prioritization, and consistent follow-through. Effective written and verbal communicator; capable of drafting reports and maintaining compliance documentation. Discreet and professional when handling sensitive information. Comfortable working independently and cross-functionally in a fast-paced, evolving environment. Prior exposure to logistics, healthcare, transportation, or finance is beneficial.
Additional Details:
This position is 100% on-site in Tampa, FL (no remote option). Standard 40-hour workweek, with additional hours as needed based on business demand. Must be able to sit or stand for extended periods and occasionally lift up to 5 lbs.
