The Difference You Make:

TheSr. FLoD Technology/Privacy Compliance Risk Officer represents theFirst Line of Defense (FLoD) is responsible for monitoring,assessing, and enforcing compliance with technology-relatedregulations, policies, and industry standards within the financialinstitution. This role ensures that all technology operations anddigital processes meet regulatory requirements, minimize risk, andprotect the institution’s data, assets, and client information. TheSr. FLoD Compliance Risk Officer will perform key risk managementrole by assisting the Director of FLoD Technology and OperationsCompliance in providing regulatory and compliance advisory supportto FLoD.

Essential Functions:
  • Serve as a liaison betweenCompliance, IT, and Business Units, providing guidance ontechnology-related compliance issues.
  • Support project teams ontechnology risk management during new system implementations ortechnology changes.
  • Monitor, interpret, and implement relevantlaws, regulations, and guidelines (e.g., GDPR, CCPA, GLBA, NYDFS 23NYCRR 500) as they relate to technology and cybersecurity.
  • Advisesenior management and stakeholders on regulatory changes andcompliance requirements affecting technology use and datamanagement.
  • Provide regulatory guidance and support on businessprocedures to ensure compliance with relevant technologyregulations and align with industry standards (e.g., NIST, ISO27001) and best practices for data privacy and cybersecurity.
  • Support Risk and Control Self-Assessment (RCSA) risk assessmentsand identify gaps in the technology and data management processesthat may lead to regulatory or compliance risks.
  • Collaborate withIT and security teams to implement controls and risk mitigationmeasures in line with regulatory requirements.
  • Ensure ongoingmonitoring and reporting of compliance risks associated withtechnology systems and infrastructure.
  • Work closely withCompliance Privacy Officers(s) to implement and oversee dataprivacy policies and ensure compliance with data protectionregulations.
  • Monitor data access controls, encryption, and datamanagement protocols to protect sensitive information.
  • Prepareand present reports to regulatory bodies and senior managementregarding compliance status and audit findings.
  • Implementcorrective actions for audit findings and monitor their progress.
  • Promote a culture of compliance by raising awareness of technologyand data protection requirements across the organization.
  • Workwith incident response teams to investigate technology-relatedcompliance breaches or security incidents.
  • Providerecommendations and coordinate remediation actions to resolveincidents and prevent recurrence.

  • Education:

    Bachelor’s degree in Finance, InformationTechnology, Business, or a related field. A Master’s degree orrelevant certification (e.g., CISA, CISM, CISSP, CRISC) is a plus

  • Experience:

    5 years of experience in technology compliance, IT riskmanagement, or a related field within the financial servicesindustry. Skills & Abilities

  • Strong knowledge of regulatoryframeworks (e.g., SOX, GDPR, FFIEC, FINRA, OCC) and industrystandards for data security and privacy.
  • Proficiency in riskassessment methodologies and compliance auditing techniques.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively across departments and communicatecomplex compliance requirements effectively.

  • Established work history or equivalent demonstratedthrough a combination of work experience, training, militaryservice, or education.
What Else You Need To Know:

The base payrange for this position is posted below and represents theannualized salary range. For hourly positions (non-exempt), theannual range is based on a 40-hour work week. The exactcompensation may vary based on skills, experience, training,licensure and certifications and location.

$86,250.00
