Regulatory Compliance Specialist

Summary The Regulatory Compliance Specialist is responsible for supporting the Regulatory Compliance Department and all other dependent areas of Vertical Bridge. Responsibilities include FAA Notice Criteria Tool, FCC TOWAIR, AM and Airspace screening, FAA/FCC site applications and NEPA environmental approvals. Additionally, this role will also support other projects and duties as needed to support Vertical Bridge and our customers from a regulatory position.
Job Functions:
Perform regulatory prescreening for all new-build and modification projects using online tools and software applications such as Airspace and available government study tools
Process FAA 7460-1 and FCC Form 854 applications for new and existing VB towers, Development, M&A, and carriers
Assisting carriers and site acquisitions with concerns pertaining to regulatory matters
Follow through with FCC ASR process in regard to National and Local Public Notice
Assist in data analysis by running reports through Sitetracker for internal and external customers
Verify FAA/FCC databases to ensure information is correct and concise
Assist with AM Compliance issues
Filter all environmental issues and questions pertaining to NEPAs and environmental questionnaires
Assist with migratory bird issues ensuring carriers follow the VB Migratory Bird Policy set forth
Work closely with NOC vendor (site monitoring) to keep the database accurate and updated
Various data analysis activities to verify site regulatory information
Other job duties as assigned
Working Conditions and Physical Demands:
Candidate will work directly in the corporate office. If necessary, job will require minimal evening and weekend work for emergency situations. Some travel may be required.
Qualifications:
Four-year degree or equivalent combination of education and experience
Minimum 3 years’ experience in both FAA and FCC rules, regulations, and procedures as they pertain to antenna structures
Minimum 3 years’ experience in environmental documents such as FAA/FCC, NEPAs and EAs
Proficient with MS Office suite products with an emphasis on Excel
Excellent client and vendor relationship management skills
Disciplined, organized, and thorough individual who is a self-starter
Demonstrated mastery in multiple tasking
