JOB SUMMARY

The purpose of this position is to perform review, analytical, and customer service duties associated with the processing of Class A Coin Operated Amusement Machine (COAM) license applications, licenses and decals. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to receiving, reviewing, processing, researching and analyzing Class A applications in a timely manner, to include reviewing databases to determine any outstanding items for disciplinary actions and compliance and integrity checks of applicants, COAM locations, machine owners, manufacturers and distributors.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Duties include, but are not limited to: Reviews Class A license applications for new and change of ownerships COAM licenses. Administers Class A license program to assure compliance with laws, rules, and regulations; ensures correct Class A license procedures are observed and workflow is handled effectively and on schedule. Resolves complicated customer issues such as State Tax Identification number and ownership discrepancies and multiple accounts pertaining to Class A licenses. Researches and recommends improvements to license application processes including technologies and automation and participate in the implementation of software updates or changes. Administers the Systematic Alien Verification for Entitlements (SAVE) online service to verify COAM applicant’s immigration status or naturalized/derived citizenship. Ordering and managing license, decal, signage inventory and securing shipment arrival times. Prints and mails COAM licenses and decals to approved license applicants.

KNOWLEDGE AND SKILL REQUIREMENTS

Bachelor’s Degree preferred; minimum of five years of customer service, strong data entry skills, and analytical experience required. Previous experience with COAM preferred. Experience working in Microsoft Excel and Word required. Must have strong oral and written communication skills and the ability to maintain confidential information; Must have strong oral and written communication skills and the ability to maintain confidential information. Any equivalent combination of education, training, and experience which provides the requisite knowledge, skills, and abilities for this job.
