The Atlanta Community Food Bank is working to end hunger in our community with the food, people and big ideas needed so that no one worries where their next meal is coming from. Since 1979, we’ve been providing food for a growing network of nonprofit partners – including food pantries, community kitchens, childcare centers, night shelters and senior centers. Role:

The Compliance Specialist I is responsible for maintaining good standing contractual relationships with partners through engagement and collection of service data. They will travel to physically observe activities at a Partner location as well as remotely review systems data and information to ensure ACFB risk management. The individual in this position maintains a professional relationship with Partner Agencies, provides guidance to Partner Agencies to ensure they maintain compliance and quality standards within their facility and provides policy and procedure advice to agencies to ensure compliance with Feeding America, Food Bank and Government regulations. In addition, this role will provide periodic training to partners on compliance requirements for state and federal food programs, and food distribution reporting. The Compliance Specialist I reports to a supervisor within the Compliance team, which is a part of the Network Services and Programs Team.

Build and Nurtures Relationships:

Develops and maintains professional relationships with Partner Agencies and ACFB Partner Relations team members. Works with partners to create action plans in response to policies/rules changes and/or infractions. Collaborates with peers and internal resources to help ensure Partners receive the knowledge and information they need to successfully operate.

Perform Customer Risk Management:

Schedules meetings, produces and sends mailings, and develops and maintains data using CRM and other technology tools. Conducts scheduled monitoring visits to partner agencies to observe agency facility conditions, record keeping and distribution activities in compliance with Partner Agency agreement(s). Conduct unscheduled visits to assess compliance complaints and/or assess potential organizational readiness to become an ACFB partner. Creates and documents reports to summarize visit findings and recommendation Maintains a confidential log of all reported incidents of non-compliance, formal complaints, investigations, etc. Maintain accurate agency information systems, assist with data collection and provides reports.
